The FX Blower
The Car is based on the Van Dieman Formula X concept that clothed a single seater and turned it into a sports car.

We have taken that basic concept and developed a car for endurance and / or sprint races to rival motorcycle based race cars like radicals.

A few features:
Inboard push rod suspension

Sequential paddle shift gear change with auto blip down change.

Dry weight 440kg

Quick dry fueling both sides with 70 litre fuel tank.

Carbon fibre duel wing elements.

Bespoke low drag carbon fibre diffuser

Limited slip diff on sprocket drive (low weight)

4 sprocket size choices.

Oz wheels

P I Data logging with all usual info on dash.

Detachable steering wheel.

ENGINE

The engine is designed and built in house from a Honda Blackbird 1200cc engine and then supercharged, taking its power at the rear wheels to 230BHP which equates to about 300BHP at the crank.

Engines are much more reasonable than the equivalents and far more robust being based on a touring, not racing design.

The car is a very fast, radical eater with all the equipment you need to win in Britsports or similar races.

The FX Bower is being raced by its creator, Howard Spooner, (a former racer of radicals, global GT’s Formula Palmer Audi , LM3000 and SR2) in the Britsports this season (2006).
